Small Weddings, Beautiful Memories: Why Elopements & Intimate Weddings Are Worth Celebrating
There's something truly special about a wedding that focuses on what matters most: two people in love, a beautiful setting, and the people who mean the world to them.More and more couples are discovering that a wedding doesn't have to be extravagant to be extraordinary. Elopements and intimate weddings offer a refreshing alternative to traditional large-scale celebrations, allowing couples to exchange vows in a meaningful setting while enjoying greater flexibility, fewer expenses, and a more relaxed experience. At Vintage Acres Events, we believe that some of life's most beautiful celebrations come in smaller packages.A Beautiful Wedding Without the Overwhelming Price Tag One of the greatest advantages of choosing an elopement or intimate wedding is the opportunity to celebrate beautifully while keeping your budget in perspective.Traditional weddings can quickly become expensive, particularly when guest lists grow and costs for catering, rentals, décor, and additional services begin to add up.Smaller celebrations allow couples to be more intentional with their spending. Instead of stretching your budget across a large guest list, you can invest in the elements that matter most to you—whether that's stunning photography, thoughtfully designed florals, exceptional food, or simply an unforgettable experience with your closest loved ones.At Vintage Acres, our wedding experiences offer a variety of options to suit different visions and budgets, from a simple Forest Chapel ceremony to beautifully curated elopements and fully coordinated intimate weddings. With our 2027 Forest Ceremony experience starting at $1,650 + HST, couples can enjoy the romance of exchanging vows surrounded by nature without committing to the expense of a traditional full-day wedding for them and 10 special guests.Less Planning, More Enjoying Let's face it—planning a wedding can sometimes feel like a full-time job!Between coordinating vendors, arranging rentals, selecting décor, organizing timelines, and managing dozens of details, it's easy to lose sight of what the celebration is really about.Elopements and intimate weddings simplify the process. With fewer guests and a more thoughtfully designed celebration, couples can spend less time managing logistics and more time enjoying the anticipation of their special day. We offer thoughtfully curated and consolidated Our curated wedding experiences at Vintage Acres are designed with this philosophy in mind. Depending on the package selected, we bring together beautiful ceremony spaces, thoughtfully styled details, florals, refreshments, and coordination to create a seamless and memorable occasion. The result? More meaningful moments, fewer distractions, and a wedding that feels wonderfully personal.Five Ways to Save Without Sacrificing the Magic 1. Keep Your Guest List Meaningful One of the simplest ways to reduce wedding expenses is to invite only those closest to your hearts. An intimate gathering allows you to spend quality time with every guest, creating a more personal and connected celebration.Whether you're envisioning an intimate elopement or a gathering of 24 to 50 loved ones, a smaller guest list can make a remarkable difference to your budget.2. Consider a Weekday Celebration Saturday weddings are traditionally the most sought-after dates, but some of the loveliest celebrations happen during the week.A weekday ceremony can offer greater scheduling flexibility and may provide opportunities for savings, particularly with smaller wedding experiences.Imagine a peaceful afternoon exchanging vows beneath the trees, followed by a beautifully styled cocktail gathering or an intimate meal with those closest to you.3. Let Nature Be Your Décor Why compete with nature when you can make it part of your wedding design? At Vintage Acres, our enchanting Forest Chapel provides an unforgettable natural backdrop, with towering trees, gentle sunlight, lush greenery, and charming architectural details. Our picturesque gardens, ponds, rustic barn, and outdoor gathering spaces offer endless photographic opportunities throughout the property. With such beautiful surroundings, elaborate decorations simply aren't necessary to create a romantic atmosphere.4. Choose a Thoughtfully Curated Experience Creating a wedding from scratch can involve coordinating numerous independent vendors, each with their own pricing, timelines, and requirements.Choosing a curated wedding experience allows you to enjoy many of the beautiful details without arranging every element individually. Our Curated Elopement, Boutique Wedding and Nano Wedding experiences, combine a romantic Forest Chapel setting with curated element to create a beautiful and unforgettale celebration. It's a lovely way t
